Sarah Jean II

About The Boat  –  Sarah Jean II

Sarah Jean ll on Current's CoverSarah Jean is a Saga 43 designed by Bob Perry. She is a modern offshore passage maker. She sails well in light air and is very comfortable. Although designed for offshore, Sarah Jean II is easy to sail with a responsive helm and all sail controls in the cockpit.

We have added a lot of safety equipment and made extensive design modifications for crossing oceans.

The cockpit is quite spacious making it an ideal teaching environment and great place to relax. It can be completely enclosed during inclement weather and at anchor.

Down below Sarah Jean is finished in cherry wood. She has a very seaworthy galley, cozy saloon with a large table for dining and chart work, a well equipped navigation and communication station and two staterooms. The guest stateroom is equipped with a king sized bed. For chilly weather the boat is equipped with an Espar diesel heater.

For more information go to the Saga 43 website.

On the Cover of Currents

To the right, Sarah Jean II cruises through the islands of Vanuatu in the South Pacific, gracing the cover of Currents, the magazine of the Bluewater Cruising Association.

Cabin Layout

Our layout is known as Centre Line Queen with the guest stateroom in the stern area. On the right is the galley with custom safety bars that we added for improved safety when cooking at sea.
